Messaging Policy

This page explains how text messaging works with Investimates — both the messages we send you, and the messages you send your own clients using the SMS plugin.
1. Program description
CoreLedgery, Inc., doing business as Investimates, uses SMS for two purposes:
- Customer care and account notifications — messages to Investimates account holders about their account, such as security or service notices.
- Document delivery on your behalf — if you activate the SMS plugin, the Service sends a link to an estimate or invoice to a client phone number that you enter.
We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
2. Consent and opt-in
We only send messages to people who have opted in. Consent is never bought, sold, or shared.
If you are an Investimates account holder, you opt in by providing your mobile number in the app and agreeing to receive messages at that number. You are not required to agree to receive text messages as a condition of purchasing anything.
If you are using the SMS plugin to message your own clients, you are the sender. It is your responsibility to have that client's prior express consent to be texted, and to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CTIA guidelines, and any other law that applies to you. Do not use the SMS plugin to send marketing messages, or to message anyone who has not agreed to hear from you. Misuse may result in your SMS plugin being disabled.
3. How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts. You can opt back in at any time by replying START.

4. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your account activity and how you use the Service. We do not send recurring scheduled messages.
5. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. These are set by your mobile carrier and are your responsibility. Investimates does not charge you per message; the SMS plugin is billed as a flat monthly subscription, shown on the Plugins page.
6. Carriers and delivery
Messages are delivered by our messaging provider over networks we do not control. Delivery is not guaranteed, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.
7. Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors performing supporting services, such as our messaging provider, is permitted solely to deliver messages you have requested. All other use is excluded. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties.
